Encouragement to HOPE

Great networking event...

Wow, a great success...the companies in attendance, the feedback from job seekers, the positive Christian energy that I observed and garnered from conversations greatly impressed me...After my visit, and a recap of my experience...RMU wants to commit our support and presence at future events.

About Share The Journey Sessions...

As someone in the group said, friends and family can't always understand the emotions and frustrations and the affects on self esteem. They may understand the financial realities but not how "the job search process" affects a person's soul.

You've provided a safe and positive haven to discuss the pain without, as I indicated, the venting and sarcasm of other groups.

I don't think any of the participants expect someone from DHH to "save" them. There just seems to be a great need to associate with others who understand that life is not just about resumes and interviews and financial fears and all the other icky stuff associated with the job search.

Fears and frustrations are compounded in this economic environment and this media blasting world. Faith & hope are our best chance to thrive not just survive. A gathering of like minded individuals at DHH events creates a force to be reckoned with. May it continue to grow.

About a HOPE workshop...

Thank you for putting together the seminar last evening. The assistance that you and your team provide to job seekers such as myself is invaluable. I know that putting something like that together is a lot of work. If there is anything that I can do to assist you in the future please let me know. Thanks again for all you do.

When I attended my first HOPE event, it had already been about fourteen months since I was downsized by Delphi, and I was beginning to believe that I would never get another engineering job. You and your HOPE Team Members provided the encouragement, “hope”, and assistance that I needed when I was at my lowest point. I think about all of you frequently, and I hope that someday you get to see the full positive impact of what you actually do.

Thank you both for tonight's informative presentation. I truly appreciate the encouragement and insight. I read the PBT every week but I think I've haven't been using it as well I could as a research tool - now I will!
